XRP Casino Fees and Processing: Who Pays for a Return

Two kinds of cost sit around an XRP deposit: what the operator charges, and what the network charges. They are easy to run together. Only the second applies to every payment, including the one that goes back to you after a mistake.

No native-unit fee figure is printed here. Network fees move between one reading of a page and the next, and a number that was right when we read it may not be right when you do.

Five rungs in order: check it validated, find whose address, write once with the hash, wait, send nothing more

What operators say about deposit fees

Three give a plain statement. BitStarz’s deposit table lists a fee of 0% for XRP. Cloudbet’s page says it does not charge deposit fees, and charges a flat fee on withdrawals to cover the transaction cost. Rollbit says it charges no fees on deposits and that you pay on-chain fees when sending from your own wallet. Stake, Roobet, Duelbits, BetFury and Vave say nothing on the pages we read.

Every one of those statements concerns the normal path. None addresses what happens when a payment arrives without its tag and has to be matched or returned.

Who pays for a return

A return is a new payment, and every payment on the ledger burns a network fee paid by the party that sends it. So if a receiver agrees to send your XRP back, a fee is spent by the receiver. Whether the operator absorbs it, deducts it from what it returns, or asks you to cover it is a policy we could not find published for XRP by anyone.

Ask before agreeing to anything. A short question such as “Will a handling charge or a network fee be deducted from the amount credited or returned?” puts the answer in writing, and it is a better question than an argument afterwards.

Processing and the second payment

Sending a second payment to nudge the first one along spends a second network fee with no effect on the first. This is one more reason for the rule on the home page: send nothing until support has answered.

Short answers

Do operators charge to credit a tag-less deposit? We found none that publishes such a charge, and none that rules one out. Ask in writing.
Who pays the fee on a returned payment? The party that sends it pays the network fee. Whether that cost is passed on is the operator’s policy.
