XRP at Sportsbet.io: Named, With a Tag Message Stored in the Page
Sportsbet.io’s front page answers a question about which cryptocurrencies you can use with a list that includes XRP, among 13 or more coins. It names no network for XRP and gives no XRP minimum.
The interesting detail is not in the visible text. The interface strings stored in the page hold an error message: “A destination tag is required. Generate an X-address using” a third-party tool. The page does not say where that message appears.
What the stored message tells us
It tells us the site’s interface knows about destination tags, and that somewhere in the cashier a missing tag can stop a step. It does not tell us whether that step is a deposit or a withdrawal, and we will not guess. The wording also points at an X-address, the single string that combines an address and a tag, which the ledger’s documentation describes.
If you ever need to build an X-address, any tool that asks only for your address and tag is doing the job. Any tool that asks for a recovery phrase or private key is not, and should be closed.
Timing and minimum
The front page gives a minimum deposit of 0.25 USDT or USDC, which is not an XRP figure. It also says withdrawals usually settle within minutes once a deposit has three blockchain confirmations, in a sentence that covers all coins. Neither is specific to XRP, so we do not treat them as such.
The site opened for us only with full browser headers, and we found no help centre to read. Everything here comes from the front page.
If the tag was left out, wherever you sent it
The steps do not change with the operator. Confirm in an explorer that the payment validated, compare the receiving address with the one Sportsbet.io’s cashier showed you, and write once, with the hash, to the support channel in your account. The home page has the full order and a draft message, and the list of mistakes to avoid applies here without exception.
What this page leaves out
No offer, rollover, licence or rating is quoted, and no XRP network, minimum or timing is given, because none is stated on the page we could read.
